The Challenge

We were called to a residential property in Battersea where the carpets had been heavily affected by pets. Significant amounts of pet hair had become trapped within the carpet, alongside animal-related soiling and visible stool stains.

The combination of embedded pet hair and staining required more than a standard carpet clean. The carpets needed careful preparation before extraction so that as much loose hair and surface debris as possible could be removed, while the affected areas received targeted treatment.

The Work Carried Out

The job began with a thorough inspection of the carpets to identify areas requiring particular attention, including visible animal staining and sections with heavier soiling.

We then carried out intensive pre-vacuuming and pet hair removal to lift as much loose hair, dirt and debris from the carpet as possible.

A professional pre-spray was applied across the carpets to begin breaking down general soiling. Mechanical agitation was then used to work the treatment into the fibres and help loosen embedded dirt.

Areas affected by animal-related staining and heavier soiling were treated individually, with additional attention given to the visible stool stains.

The carpets were subsequently cleaned using hot water extraction, removing loosened dirt, cleaning solution, pet-related soiling and remaining debris from the fibres.

Finally, the carpets were groomed and given a detailed inspection to ensure the clean was completed thoroughly.

The Result

The carpets were left thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, with significant amounts of trapped pet hair and visible animal-related soiling removed.

The treatment substantially improved the overall appearance of the carpets, leaving the rooms cleaner, fresher and more presentable. The targeted approach also allowed the more heavily affected areas to receive the additional treatment they required rather than relying solely on a standard carpet clean.
